As we approach this time of year Scam emails and telephone calls “tend” to increase, please be vigilant, on some mobile phones ( such as Google Pixel’s ) have scam alerts ( or spam alerts ) built in, you just need to turn that on, for other phones that do not have this built in there are numerous apps out there, some free* some paid for.
If you decide not to use an App in an attempt to foil these people, just be on your guard for those out of the blue calls saying that they are from your Bank / Amazon / Phone Provider / Broadband / DWP and so on, a genuine caller will not mind if you say that you are going to hand up, wait for awhile ( at least 5mins! ) and then call the number you have on your paper work.
*Free App’s on Android phones will most possibly contain Adverts which are managed by Google and not the developer of the App and may well contain Ad’s you might not want to see.
